Place to Dream

For Peter and Prisca, going green, curating their style and maximising space were the priorities for renovating their three-bedroom maisonette. It had out-of-date electrics, a dying boiler and seriously tired décor. The layout was inefficient, with awkward arrangements for the kitchen and bathroom with no place to eat, homemade shelving everywhere and a cubicle toilet with no sink.
“Our home is now really something special. Every room feels bigger, without us losing storage space, and we love the way it has changed the way we live. Our new baby arrived just as the renovation was complete and having a beautiful space to be in made all the difference to my maternity leave.
My husband loves cooking up a storm in his new kitchen and we’re now able to eat together as a family in there, which I love. Likewise, the new bathroom works so much better for us and it feels like I’m in a spa whenever I take a bath.
While we were dubious at first the Heat Pump Kefa Homes suggested works perfectly and we find ourselves telling our friends to get one too. It feels great that with our green electricity tariff we are now fossil fuel free.”
PRISCA
With busy lives and a baby on the way Prisca opted to have Kefa Homes help her with concept design, technical and build management. We kept them closely involved in all the decisions made through regular meetings, and showed them the proposals for their space in VR.
We helped them navigate the challenges of having two builders (one for renovations and one for the heat pump) and helped with interior design, designing bespoke built in furniture to help them make the most of their relatively small space.
