D&G Field Cottage

Having bought a detached rural cottage with extensive outbuildings, Dianna and Gray wanted to explore what they could do with it. They wanted their home to suit the way they live as keen hobbyists, regular hosts and leaders of a substantial startup charity.

While charming and cosy, Dianna and Gray found the layout of the house didn’t serve their needs. The single bathroom upstairs, wasteful circulation and lack of a decent sized, bright workspace limited how they could use the house.

With a limited budget, but potential for more work in future, we worked with Dianna & Gray to explore options for their home that would enable a phased approach to expansion. Having helped them make sense of what was possible and created concepts for them, they went on to build a bright office extension with a local builder.
